Part A: Project proposal

Creation of Cube

For this project, I decided to keep my design as simple, I quite really like the way Cube formed – shapes, coulours and textures. I personally like to play Cube, always have great time rotating it around. So my main idea for this project going to base on Cube – Creation of Cube.  I chose this idea because when I closely look at an cube, it give me a lot creative things such as ideas and designs. However, there are still some questions  that I really not sure and quite not understand. I believe I will build my own cube to understand  all the questions that I mentioned above and use real cube toy as my guides.

I decide to use Acrylice Clear  as my main meterials to build my own Cube which will consist of  27 small cubes.  I chose these meterials because, they are cheap, easy to cut them in different shapes and put them together in various froms. Even after you put them together, they will shine and you can see through.  Before I get to my own Cube, I want to build 27 small cubes. To create a small  cube I need to cut Acrylice Clear in six of equal squard sizes in sperately.  I will use special glue to put them together in a small cube. I believe I will get a really nice shine cube that I can see through the other side.  To get  all my 27 small cubes,  I will repeat all my previous processing until I get  all of them.

To create a cube is not easy, I have to do a lot of caculation and pass through a lot of processings. So I really want the user to learn the idea of creation – Creation of Cube. My final cube will build from 27 small cubes that all in the same side that user may move around. So that they can look closely a single cube in individually, they will rotate it and they will see all six sides from a small cube. I also decide to use colours and textures on each  side of small cubes for user  see different type of creative designs.
